We will not use or share your information with anyone except as described in this Privacy Policy. We use your personal information for providing the Ware Shares service and for improving the website. By using the website, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this Policy.
Library of Things, look after the “back-office” part of our website and borrowing service enabling Membership, ID checks, tool reservations, payments, locker opening codes and Borrower Support communications. Library of Things are a trusted partner who have been operating tool borrowing services across London for over 10 years and they operate under exactly the same Privacy Policy for all of their locations, including when partnering with Ware Town Council under the Ware Shares scheme.
Information Collection and Use
While using this website, we may ask you to provide us with certain personally identifiable information that can be used to contact or identify you. Personally identifiable information may include, but is not limited to, your email address, your name, phone number, postal address, other information (‘Personal Information’).
Analytics
We collect information that your browser sends whenever you visit our website (‘Analytics’). This data may include information such as your computer’s Internet Protocol (‘IP’) address, browser type, browser version, the pages of our website that you visit, the time and date of your visit, the time spent on those pages and other statistics.

Service Providers
Our partners, Library of Things, use Squarespace to provide our website services. Squarespace does not have access to your personal information.
Card Payments
Credit and debit card payment services are provided directly to Library of Things and Ware Shares by Stripe.com. At no point are card details stored with, or transferred by, Library of Things or Ware Town Council under the Ware Shares scheme. When you initially provide your payment information, it is transmitted via an encrypted connection to Stripe. Stripe uses and processes your payment information in accordance with Stripe’s Privacy Policy. If you wish to delete these details from Stripe, email us via wareshares@waretowncouncil.gov.uk. Please note that doing so will mean you will terminate your Ware Shares membership.
Security
The security of your personal information is important to us, but remember that no method of transmission over the internet, or method of electronic storage is 100% secure. Whilst both Library of Things and Ware Town Council, under the Ware Shares scheme, strive to use commercially acceptable means to protect your personal information, we cannot guarantee it’s absolute security.
Links to other sites
Our website may occasionally contain links to other sites that are not operated by us. If you choose to click on a third party link, you will be diverted to that third party’s site. We strongly advise you to review the Privacy Policy of any site you visit. We have no control over and assume no responsibility for the content, privacy policies or practices of any third party sites or services.
Children’s Policy
Our website does not address anyone under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under 13. If you are a parent or guardian and you are aware that your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us. If we discover that a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, we will delete this information from our servers immediately and ensure Library of Things do the same.
